I don’t think I could even pinpoint when my washi addiction started but I know it came on quickly and my collection grew from nothing to around 65 rolls in a matter of months! This is most likely due to being able to grab them off Aliexpress for around 70p a roll!
I’ve tried to sort them into colours to make it a bit easier on the eyes, but I also put all my slogan washis together so you may see some twice, (although I do have some dupes as well!)
I started only needing a small tin to hold all my tapes but I’m currently using a small biscuit tin and a clip box to hold all my tapes. I’m waiting for some tapes from Aliexpress at the moment and so I think I might need another box soon!
I’ve mentioned Aliexpress (in several posts) as my go-to washi seller and they have sooooo many different patterns, colours and sizes! They have animals, stars, leaves, landscapes, donuts, flowers and basically just about anything you could want!
Paperchase sell themed sets rather than random singles, I’ve got a nautical set, a unicorn/star set and a fruity set (see if you can spot them dotted in the pictures!). I find the patterns to be super cute although they don’t always stick the best unfortunately.
Flying Tiger aren’t big on washi but I’ve picked up a couple of gems from there! There are a couple of sea-themed and some shiny/glittery tapes and they’re really good quality! I really hope they decide to create more, I love their patterns and it’s such good value for money!
The Zenpop Japan stationery boxes have so far only supplied me with good quality washis with really nice prints, this month’s theme being cats. Of course the only problem with this is that you can’t actually choose the tapes you get, but as I said I’ve liked everyone I’ve had so far!
The next tapes I want to add to my collection are Disney tapes, but I cannot seem to find these anywhere at all! I get sent samples in penpal letters and they’re always used up so quickly so I’m definitely going to try and look for some whole rolls! I really want to visit Japan and the US because they have some amaaazing stationery stores like Daiso and Michaels. I keep seeing hauls on YouTube and Instagram and it makes me wish I lived somewhere abroad so badly!
